You are a Learning and Development Manager for Yellow and Gold Sports Company. Yellow and Gold Sports has several retail outlets in QLD and NSW. It specialises in selling various brands of activewear for multiple sports.
In a meeting with your Human Resource Manager and General Manager, it was highlighted that the company was struggling to attract internal candidates for their Management Development Program.
You are required to develop a coaching strategy for management development.
Part 1: Design coaching program
Design and develop a coaching strategy for a coaching program for an organisation that wants to create an emotional intelligence program. You are welcome to create a simulation to make your work represent real-world situations.
Your report must include:
o Coaching program purpose and objectives.o Identify key stakeholders who will be consulted to gain support for the program.
o Identify what other organisational structures will be required to support the program.
• Develop timelines for coaching strategy implementation in consultation with stakeholders.
Your report must be 1 to 2 pages long.Submit all work as professionally written documents within the timeframe allocated.
Your trainer/assessor will provide your group with feedback.

Coaching in a business environment is a training method in which a more experienced or skilled individual provides an employee with advice and guidance intended to help develop the individual’s skills, performance and career. Coaching is a highly individualized process that depends on both the nature of the client and the coach’s knowledge, skills and abilities. However, coaches have several recognized techniques and tools to draw on in almost any coaching situation.
Role of coaching
Coaching is a business relationship between the organization, the coach and the person being coached, and it involves a tailored approach to fit the client. Depending on the position of the person being coached and the purpose of the coaching, different approaches are called for.

1. Business Coaching
This is about knowing how a business or industry works and what makes a company tick. Showing that you have an understanding of what the organisation wants to achieve through its products and services, and how it competes in its marketplace.
