Activity 7-9

Activity 7

1. Define the problem by meeting or conference to discuss the problem.

  • Review and document how processes currently work (who does what, with what information, using what tools, communicating with what organizations and individuals, in what time frame, using what format, etc).
  • Evaluate the possible impact of new tools and revised policies in the development of a model of “what should be.”
  • 2. Generate alternative solutions within the team

Having a standard with which to compare the characteristics of the final solution is not the same as defining the desired result. A standard allows us to evaluate the different intended results offered by alternatives. Considering multiple alternatives can significantly enhance the value of your final solution. Once the team or individual has decided the “what should be” model, this target standard becomes the basis for developing a road map for investigating alternatives.  and team problem-solving techniques are both useful tools in this stage of problem solving.

Many alternative solutions should be generated before evaluating any of them. A common mistake in problem solving is that alternatives are evaluated as they are proposed, so the first acceptable solution is chosen, even if it’s not the best fit. If we focus on trying to get the results we want, we miss the potential for learning something new that will allow for real improvement.

    3. Evaluate and select an alternative in the team

Skilled problem solvers use a series of considerations when selecting the best alternative. They consider the extent to which:

  • A particular alternative will solve the problem without causing other unanticipated problems.
  • All the individuals involved will accept the alternative.
  • Implementation of the alternative is likely.
  • The alternative fits within the organizational constraints.
  • 4. Implement and follow up on the solution

Feedback channels must be built into the implementation of the solution, to produce continuous monitoring and testing of actual events against expectations. Problem solving, and the techniques used to derive elucidation, can only be effective in an organization if the solution remains in place and is updated to respond to future changes

    Activity 8

    1. The proverb is saying that one thing accept the character from another thing they are close to. Things are affected by their surrounding . the environment is the big impact for their behavior because they can perceive and absorb the feeling and the action around them in a period.

humans have needed to be sensitive to their surroundings to survive, which means that we have animate awareness of our environment and seek out environments with certain qualities.

First of all, humans have a strong need for safety and security and look for those attributes in their environment. We also look for physical comfort, such as an environment with the right temperature. In addition, we seek an environment that is psychologically comfortable: for example, environments that are familiar, but offer the right amount of stimulus.

A examples of how the environment can impact you.

  • The environment can influence peoples’ behavior and motivation to act. For example, a dingy corridor filled with extra hospital equipment will invite staff to leave another item in the hall, whereas a clean corridor and adequate storage will encourage staff to take the time to put the item away.
  • 2. my own performance has been shaped by

  • My family : I got some character from my parents , when I stay with them , I saw their action, and how they express their emotion and I feel familiar with it and absorb some until it became my character or my routine.
  • Environment : social, friend, family , tradition, religion, lifestyle of the people around you etc.
  • That is all effected my own performance . Friend is one of the thing that is effected me and made me change when I was a teenager.

  • My workplace : the way I need to follow the rules or the policy in the restaurant is effected me to have specific behavior .

    a.

Problem-solving is a tool, a skill, and a process. As a tool is helps you solve a problem or achieve a goal. As a skill you can use it repeatedly throughout your life. And, as a process it involves a number of steps.

It is not unusual for problems to arise when you are working towards a goal and encounter obstacles along the way. Students usually have many and varied goals, both related to school and to other areas of their lives, and it is likely that you will encounter barriers to your success at times. As these barriers are encountered, problem-solving strategies can be utilized to help you overcome the obstacle and achieve your goal. With each use of problem-solving strategies, these skills become more refined and integrated so that eventually their use becomes second nature.

Your life is busy with a wide range of activities related to school, home, work, and friends. Throughout the course of any given day, you handle a variety of decisions and problems automatically. however, situations arise which you cannot solve “automatically.” In those situations the use of problem-solving skills becomes an invaluable asset that allows you to make the best choices and decisions available. In addition, problem-solving is a life skill that will serve you well throughout your life.

    b. THE PROBLEM-SOLVING PROCEDURES

    1 – Problem Definition

Before you are ready to take any steps to solve the problem, you first have to be sure that you are clear about what the problem really is. It can be easy to get distracted by solving a different problem than…
