The restaurant is Chong Co Restaurant .Our chefs at Chong Co Thai have over 15 years of experience cooking up delicious and authentic Thai food. We’re open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner. It’s no secret that our customers keep coming back for our most popular dishes like pad Thai, tom yum goong, Massaman curry, som tum papaya salad, and our amazing crispy soft-shell crab. We use only the freshest Thai herbs and ingredients to maintain the highest in our menus.This strategy will make my restaurant fix all the problem.

Part A

  • The first problem that Chong Co Restaurant faces is the messy kitchen. This kitchen affects the speed and accuracy of the chefs making them work less efficiently. Having a clean and tidy kitchen will help the chefs work faster and more effectively. Because of this Chong Co Restaurant needs to think about a strategy to keep the kitchen tidier. The strategy that was recommended was to make the kitchen larger, so that the chefs can move more easily and more equipment can be stored.
  • To train the staff we had created a training day course that will thoroughly improve the quality and effectiveness of the staff. This one day strategy is great for giving staff quick and efficient training techniques that will teach them the essential parts of giving quality service. Training takes time and money, which are important resources for the restaurant, making the time shorter will save money and therefore is better

    The electronic waiter system will give waiters a much easier job and also can give the chefs an easier job. The waiter system will allow the waiters to send the order straight to a big screen where the chefs can read the order. This will be installed by professionals. The chairs will be a simple but noticeable difference to people that are not of average size. These people will be grateful for the thought and will respect the restaurant.

    It has been proven that the lighting of a restaurant is very important for setting the right atmosphere. Having a dim light will create a relaxed and calm atmosphere where a bright light can create an energetic and active atmosphere. The last implementation strategy is to improve the online presence of the restaurant. Getting the restaurant into all the review sites, having a professional website and advertising the websites through discount books and companies like scoopon and groupon will be the strategies that should be used.

  • The most effective way to encourage staff participation to the training program is to reward them for their dedication and commitments.
  • Contributions made to the success of the team such as instances where team members do that little bit extra for hit a team target, achieve a team goal.   • All these implementations must get full approval from the owner and managers before any improvements can be made. One of the main reasons for this is because, even though the strategies may be beneficial to the restaurant, the owners or managers may think that the restaurant is not financially able to implement the strategies. All these strategies are investments and the owner is the only person who has the right to approve these investments. Also making sure that the strategies comply with the vision, mission and values of the company is important.
  • There are many ways to communicate to the staff of your company effectively. However most of them will come under 3 main categories. Face to face is the most personal and effective when to communicate with staff. It is very important that Leaders interactively communicate with their followers as much as possible as they will have enough insight to lead them effectively. Face-to-face communication could be face-to-face conversations, meetings and walk around management. These ways get the most attention from employees. Electronic communication is less personal and less effective than face-to-face communication Emails, messages, phone calls and website communication will not get the employees attention. The last category is by print, such as letters or employee manuals. This is often unnoticed or ignored as it is not personal and does not engage the employee. The preferred communication methods would be face-to-face.
  • The training program that is most suitable for wait staff would be physical practice and one on one. As they serve the customers the staff will be trained on how to correctly approach the customers and how to serve them with quality. The first part of the training should be a talk to the whole group to give them the information and techniques that they must then practice and demonstrate. The staff will be acting in a real life scenario to test what they have learnt.
  • There are learning styles that must be used.

  • Visual learning means to learn by looking and watching. This is useful for people who like to learn through visual aids, pictures and videos. People who remember what they see, will benefit more from this style.
  • For people who like to listen and hear. They can listen to the teacher and remember a lot more than writing down notes. Remember what they hear. Listening skills can help people who have long lectures which is just someone talking to a group of people…
