Apple or Apple Inc. is a multinational manufacturer of consumer electronics. Apple is regarded as one of the strongest companies in the world, with about $170 Billion in revenue for 2013 alone, according to and is regarded and the world’s most valuable company since 2013, . Apple has excelled in many areas of the information technology industry, through vast and advanced innovations and effective promotional strategy. Apple is said to only be getting stronger, as each product release is growing in success, however the competitors of Apple are beginning to catch up to the immense capabilities of Apple. This report will be explaining several strategies that Apple has incorporated in its business, as well as areas in which Apple could potentially improve.

1. Any products/services able to benefit from quality, feature and style improvements

Apple is a company that is renowned for its superlative and consistent product quality throughout all of the company’s products. Apple has been manufacturing and producing new products since it was established, revolutionising the way people use technology all over the world. Although there are many speculations and criticisms about the Apple products, they are still the leaders of the smartphone and tablet market, due to their high quality and frequent developments. In the electronic devices industry, quality is considered to be the most significant factor in the consumer’s perception. This causes the Apple Company to continually develop new products that have greater features, higher quality and better performance.

Each new apple product that is released will have new and innovative features which attract more and more customers. Consumers generally purchase smart phones for their practicality and functionality, and therefore smart phones with the most features and best capabilities are most popular. Smart Phones of 2014 have the capability to do abundance more, than the smart phones released 2 to 3 years ago. There are countless features that must be considered when comparing each smart phone, however Apple’s customer loyalty and reputation for quality is what provides the apple company the greatest advantage, as seen in figure 1.

They must be able to play music, access the important applications, connect to Wi-Fi, take good photos, last for a long time and operate at a fast and efficient speed, . This is because the apple products are generally accompanied with the consumers everywhere and therefore, consumers want a product that is aesthetically pleasing. According to , the iPhone products of Apple are very stylish and most consumers are attracted to the simple, modern and sleek style of the iPhone 5 and 5s product.

Apple’s main products, the iPhone, iPad, Mac Book and iTunes store all are incredibly successful due to the way Apple designs, and develops the products to meet consumer needs. Subsequently, the products and services of able can benefit greatly from the quality, features and design of Apple. Apple encapsulates the consumer preference of its market and manufactures products that satisfy the consumer needs and delivers a world-class level of performance.

2. New Products worth Adding

Apple produces and manufactures many different types of products; however Apple’s main product is the iPhone. In Figure 1, Apple’s revenue is divided into Apple’s main products. Almost half of Apple’s revenue comes from iPhones alone. Apple’s reputation and ability to manufacture great products can be used to improve the product variety, and Apple may be able to create other products that can outperform the competitors in other markets. There are countless products which Apple could consider to expand into, however Apple’s main focus is to develop the best MP3s, phones, tablets, personal computers and laptops.

Apple has the capability to improve its product diversity by introducing new products which could improve the revenue of the company. Apple is strong in the electronic devices industry, and therefore, should branch out into more common electronic devices that are popular. One product that apple can perform well in is the television industry, Apple has the technology and expertise to develop a HD Television that has incredible features such as Wi-Fi connectivity, access to the iTunes Store, unique functions and features which could be a breakthrough in the declining usage of televisions, due to the highly functional computers and iPhones and iPads which can do much more than televisions. Although Apple has introduced the Apple TV product, Apple has not innovated itself as well as it can. There are many more features which could improve the Apple TV product and Apple should try to create a Television product that really changes the way the Television is used, .

Another product that Apple has considered and may become viable in the future is the iWatch, an electronic watch that has unique features other than just telling the time.
