    Once the project is enabled and the WHS program has been implemented, the manager can monitor the performance and effectiveness of the project using KPIs. KPIs or Key performance indicators are used to measure, monitor and review the performance of a project by identify performance indicators and monitoring the changes. Some KPIs that he can use in this WHS program are:

  • Reduced number of accidents
  • Compliance of WHS policies and procedures
  • Improved knowledge of WHS policies and procedures through training

    Ahmed has not explained his views and thoughts on the conflicts. He must ensure that workers understand the discrimination laws and how he must provide considerations for religious activities. He must also make sure that people do not believe the idea that he prioritises his friends over others, the job allocations are based only on the suitability of the workers. He must also try to be stricter with the workers and trouble makers. Anyone that causes trouble will be given a warning and temporary monitoring.

    He must be able to convince the workers that he is not a corrupt manager that takes advantage of his position. He must communicate his genuine beliefs and make sure that the workers are not criticising him wrongly. Any worker’s anger must be treated properly, they should be given a proper interview where they can discuss their issues and negotiate their treatment. He must have good problem solving skills, negotiation skills and interpersonal skills.

    He must use a type of reward or incentive that will make the workers more encouraged to work hard and meet the requirements of the project. This could be remuneration rewards, an organisational event, bonuses, etc. All of these can be used to improve the workforce determination and help them focus on working and less on fighting.
