Analysis
There has been a great improved for all reported Injuries. A total report injury of 148 in 2013 is reduced to 115 in 2014. This is a very good improvement of 33 injuries less. Workers can feel safer working in the workplace and this can improve their performance and focus. The company also needs to reduce the injuries because workers cannot work or work at a slower pace when they are injured. Therefore if the company invests money into reducing injuries, the company can gain value from the investment very quickly with the improved performance.

Similar to the Total injuries, Fabrication and Stores departments are performing the same while the Assembly department has performed differently. There has been an increased number of injuries while journey to work and this is a negative thing. The fabrication department and Stores department must identify a way to improve their journey more safer. This increase in journey injuries can be caused by a lot of things and the company should implement a WHS meeting with the committee to identify the possible reasons and help the control and reduce the journey injuries.

Analysis
All departments have improved a lot and this may be because of the improved training and attendance. Assembly has definitely improved the most. Overall there is a great improvement in all departments as the workplace injuries has decreased by 36. Assembly had the highest number of work-related injuries, possibly because of the machinery and labour, but the department has effectively reduced the number of work-related injuries so it is now at the same level as the fabrication and store departments.

Everything has improved in these table. The time lost has been reduced, the days lost has been reduced, the number of occurrences has reduced and medically treated injuries has reduced. These are all results from the decreased number of injuries. This shows just how much the injuries can impact the company’s performance.
This decrease in injuries can also be a result of the improved attendance to WHS committee meetings, increased number of training courses and increased attendance to these training courses.

The Assembly team has definitely had the best performance for improvement. It can be seen by the highest increase in attendance in training. The attendance has doubled. Meaning that the amount of training for these workers has doubled. This means that the workers have an increased knowledge of hazards, how to resolve these hazards and also how to effectively communicate these hazards to other workers. The Assembly team can definitely be used as an example for the other teams.
